SumoSprings Solo Front Helper Springs Installation - 2015 Ford E-Series Cutaway- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2015 Ford E-Series Cutaway Motor Home we're gonna be showing you how to install these SumoSprings Helper Springs for the front axle. But before we get into that, I want you just take a minute, check these out, and make sure they're gonna work for you. Before we get started, what we'd like to do is just some before and after, you know, that way we can compare our ride quality before we put the front Sumos on and after, to see if it makes a big improvement. Now in the past I've done these quite a bit with stock type suspension and they make a big difference. I'm really curious with our particular setup here today though, because we've already done some work to it in the past, it has some upgraded components, a sway bar, a steering stabilizer and everything else. more

Today on our 2017 Ford E series cutaway, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Sumo Springs Maximum Custom Rear Helper Springs for our rear axle.Many times more often than not driving a motor home can be a little nerve wracking. Since they are top-heavy, they tend to blow around on the road and sway a lot and what the Sumo Springs are going to do, they're going to help eliminate that body roll and that sway while you're going down the road. They're going to improve our ride quality by overall helping support our suspension.Now before we put our springs on, let's go ahead and take our motor home out and see how it handles. As we go over our bumps, can really feel the motor home just getting thrown around, everything's jarring, and I just don't have as much control of the steering wheel as I would like. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2017 Ford E-Series Cutaway- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford E-Series Cutaway, we're going to be installing Firestone's Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, part number F2458.These air bags are going to help you restore your ride height under a heavy load. They're also going to provide you some additional cushioning, making your ride a little bit smoother. When your vehicle's ride height is set back to its factory even height, that'll also increase your braking performance as 70% of your braking is done by your front brakes, this will allow that weight distribution to act normally.It can be adjusted from 5-100 PSI as desired. If your vehicle's unloaded, set it to 5 PSI, and that will help maintain proper operation of your air bags. You never want to run them fully empty, and you can go up to 100 PSI, which gives you your maximum load support.The big advantage of having air bags over your typical bump stock upgrades, is that it's going to allow further adjustment. You're going to be able to adjust left to right, so in your RV if you've got a couch on one side and not so much on the other side, or you've got your sink, and your stove on one side, if your weight's uneven this is going to allow you to level it out, bringing back any steering and braking performance that you we're losing, and also help to reduce sway.We'll begin by doing some preparation. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford E-Series Cutaway, we're going to be installing SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs, part number SSF-106-47.This upgraded suspension enhancement is going to increase ride quality by helping maintain proper vehicle level and reduce sway. It replaces your factory jounce bumper and is going to provide a cushioning pad between your frame rail and your lower control arm. This will work with your suspension when making turns or evasive maneuvers to help that body from swaying back and forth.One of the noticeable benefits when using these, while driving down the highway and a large semi goes by at large speeds, you won't get that rocking motion that your RV typically has.Each spring has a 1,000 pound carrying capacity. While this does not increase the carrying capacity of your vehicle, it does increase performance while supporting large, heavy loads. These assist in distributing the load across your suspension, which will help extend the life of your overall vehicle suspension. Timbren Front Suspension System Installation - 2017 Ford E-Series Cutaway- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 Ford E-Series Cutaway, we're going to be installing the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System, part number TFEF350. These Timbren springs are gonna be an easy upgrade from your original factory jounce bumpers. They're gonna provide additional cushioning that's gonna give you a softer, more comfortable ride. They'll help with sway control, going back and forth while making turns and also prevent sag, evening out the level of your vehicle.They'll work independently from one another to help compensate for uneven loads and have a maximum capacity of 3,000 pounds. Now this does not increase your total carrying capacity. It's just a supplement to increase performance when carrying heavy loads.Additionally, it'll help extend the life of your vehicle's suspension by taking some of that load and distributing it across the frame and other components. more

This is going to be an upgraded suspension enhancement over your factory jounce bumpers. It's going to provide more cushioning while driving, which is going to make it more stable and prevent body roll and sway.It has a five hundred pound carrying capacity. And while it does not increase the carrying capacity of your vehicle, it does increase performance while carrying heavy loads. The carrying capacity is per spring, and these come in a quantity of two to help evenly distribute the weight across both sides of your suspension. Another benefit of these springs is reducing body sway while going down the road. more
